Colophon / About
A considered
place for an idea.
A page has a voice before it has a sentence.
| Practice | Rui César Silva Fernandes presents an independent editorial and typographic design offering from Braga, Portugal. The portfolio considers how the physical logic of a page can support the way an idea is read. |
|---|---|
| Perspective | A title, a footnote and a long paragraph ask for different kinds of attention. The design task is to give each a place, and then keep their relationship consistent across the publication. |
| The studies | The featured studies are fictional briefs and original samples. A real publication starts with actual copy, image permissions, language requirements and production specifications, with editing and factual review assigned to the appropriate people. |
